Holiday Highlight Recount

In the holidays I went to my auntie’s house and every day we went out for shopping. When we went shopping we buying some clothes for my cousin. That time we were at Otahuhu.On Friday we went to Otara and we were buying us some food first and then I asked my auntie if we could go to the festival and she said yes.


When we went to the festival we first went to paint our faces and my paint face was a colourful butterfly.Then we went to the balloon twisters and we were making heaps of balloon twisters.But when my cousin was making one he popped it because he was twisting it too much.


After that we went to the bouncy castle and my auntie was watching us and we were having fun.
Finally we went back home and we had a nice relaxing day.

Neon Orange Play Dough

Today me and Room fourteen had a experience about making parts in different pieces using
the play dough. Yesterday, my group was splitting parts into different pieces. Miss Ouano was writing the boxes on the book and all of us has to write a fraction on the book.

On Friday we were learning about our fractions and we were put into buddies and we had a plate, some play dough and a bamboo stick. Our teacher was telling us the instructions and our buddies had a paper to put our play dough on it.

My maths group is doing this to help us know how to cut parts into different ways.We just keep learning our experience until we get good. The maths that I’m talking about is fractions and how we cut them in different ways.

I felt good because I was so excited when my maths group was using play dough for our experience. My class was so happy because we were going to use some play dough.

Mum poked her head out of the kitchen door and she jumped and put her hand over her heart. Nathan rushed to the kitchen cupboard and yanked it open.Mum found a cat in the cupboard when Nathan was making loud noise.

 

Cameron Leslie

Did you know that Cameron Leslie is from Northland and he is a 150 metre individual medley champion. His disability was that he had quadruple limb deficiency and he was a good swimmer in the 150 metre individual medley.

He defended his gold medal 4 years ago which was in 2008.
I think that Cameron Leslie is a very good swimmer because it is very hard to swim with one short arm and one long arm.

New Zealand is doing well because there are coming 14th in the paralympics. I am very proud of the kiwis, I hope they catch up and come frist.Cameron Leslie is a very good swimmer he deserves that gold medal.

Silvers Turns Into Gold!

The Olympic shot put champion won a medal but when they checked Nadzeya Ostapchuk for a drug test she did not pass the test. So Valerie Adams got the medal because Valerie Adams passed her test

                                                                                                                                                  

The Olympic Flags

Baron de Coubertin designed the Olympics flag during 1913 to 1914. The Olympic five rings represent the Olympic flag. Did you know that the rings represent five parts of the world joined together in the Olympic movement? They are Africa,the Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe.

Term Reflection

Multimedia/ICT:
This term I have learnt how to make an IMovie by myself.

I have been making a Pop Art face and and making some animations.

What I haven’t done so well in Multimedia is not putting my work on my IMovie.

Next term I will improve putting my work on my IMovie.

Maths:
This term I have learnt my strategies with my teacher and decades with tens.

I have been good at counting back in tens and adding tens.

What I haven't done so well in Maths is not adding ones but I add the tens.

What I will improve next term is to write in my Maths book properly and not rush.

Reading:
This term I have learnt how to read books and complete my work in time.

I have been going up to the next level of my reading age and doing well with my reading comprehension.

The thing that I have not done so well in reading this term is not finishing off my work don’t do the answers of my reading sheet.

Next term I will improve my reading by finishing off my work and making sure I listen to my teacher when we are working together.
