On a beautiful day, the 19th of March on Thursday the beautiful intermediate of Pt England School went to a trip to Polyfest. All five classes went on all four busses to the Manukau Sports Bowl Park to see some amazing Performers and Singing. We had a lot of parent helpers that came to be helpers for our groups.
First we all went in the street for a bit of talking and Mrs Tele’a was telling us about what we are going to do when we get there. Mrs Tele’a was calling out some of the groups and calling out the people that couldn’t go. There was 13 groups altogether and each group had 5,6 or 7 or 8 people.
Yay! We arrived and everyone screaming out loud because so excited to be there, we all walked out of the bus and lining up to get ready to go in the entrance. We walked with Mrs Tele’a into the entrance and one of these guys were talking on a microphone about what we have to do, it was so amazing because I saw this man that was on the samoan movie called “Tatau”, so we walked in and walked all the way to the ASB and we had to sit down and wait for all of the schools to come.
There all here now, All of a sudden here comes the Prime Minister of New Zealand “John Key!”. We are all shouting “woo hoo” and here he comes. I was so happy to see him but the thing was that we didn’t get to talk to him or have some conversation with him.
Finally we get to go and look around, first we went to the Niue stage to eat and then we went to see the GLOBUG lady name Helen. Then we went to see other stores and it was so exciting because they were telling us about the things. After that it was lunch time and everyone had to go back to the ASB and we all got goody bags and hats.
Finally it was end of the day and everyone went back on their busses to arrive back to school. Our group was the first ones back to school so we just relaxed and waited for others, first Iisa did a big thank you to our parent helpers in our group and gave them packet of chocolate eggs. So school was finish and everyone went home and said a big goodbye.
