Title:In The Weekends

On Friday night we went church for our youth. After church then I went my uncle Aukuso’s house for a sleepover.

On Saturday morning we woke up and did a prayer for safeness. Then my uncle went to the market with his 2 sons Peme and Iosefa. But me my aunt and the 2 girls stayed home.

When my uncle and the two boys came back they came with my uncles brother. He was here to cut their hair. So they had their haircut and we were inside the house.

Then we had some chocolate for treats, all of a sudden my mum and dad came to bring my clothes for church and my clothes to have a shower.

So it was night time and we had “Coconut cream buns” for dinner. After we had dinner we had to go sleep early for church. Finally we had a relax in our bed.

Facts About Sound

sound effects.png

Sound is a part of everyday life. Your footsteps on a carpet make a quiet sound.
Slamming a door shut as you leave your home makes a loud sound.
You communicate using sound as you talk to your friends.

Sound travels as waves. You hear sound when waves travel through the air to your
ears. The closer you are to a sound, the more clearly you hear it. A firework display
up close can be extremely loud, but from a distance, fireworks sound much quieter.

Writing Sound

  • Like many terms in science,
  • Sounds are different meanings
  • High or low
  • Pleasent
  • Scientific
  • Measureable
  • Matter and Energy
  • Interection
  • Interrupt is sound
  • moving molecules
  • Vibrate
  • Back and forth movement
  • Oscillating movement
  • Mechanical waves Matter
  • Air, water and Solid Rocks

This is my groups first attempt on writing about sound.
Like many terms of science sound has different meanings like high or low visions and unpleasant sounds. The are vibrations like guitar strings going back and forth in your ear.Our brains hear sounds like mechanical waves matter this is because of the energy in the air that sends a wave of  sound like the sea crashing into the clift.

Fiafia Master

Term 1
Week 10

Topic: Fiafia Night
Purpose: Fiafia Whoo
Audience: Everyone/Anyone
Title:Fiafia 2014
Orientation:You could use your Fiafia Rehearsal writing for the first paragraph.
Yesterday night Pt England school had our fiafia which is performing for our whanau. During the weeks we have been practising and practising for our beautiful fiafia performance. Fiafia is also about dancing and having fun with your family and friends.
Para 1: The atmosphere
The first group to perform was the “Kapa Haka Group”, but the other groups have to wait. I was feeling nervous because it was crowded and I was feeling the butterflies in my stomach.
Para 2: The other performances before yours.
We were after the Asian/Dragon group so our group had to be ready to dance and we went to the side of the stage and waited. We were nice and ready and our tutors were saying “girls smile girls smile”.
Para 3:It was our turn to dance, I walked up the stage smiling at the audience nervous. when the song started i was feeling good because people were cheering for us and they were putting money in the “koha box” it was so fun dancing.
Conclusion: Your reflection/ feelings about the night as a whole.
The finally group was the yr 4-6 Pounamu group, when they finished their pounamu these other people came right at the front of the stage and did their haka to the pounamu group. Finally Mr Burt did the karakia for the night and said god bless and have a good night.

Fiafia Rehearsal 2014

Butterflies in my stomach
Some hot

Yesterday we had practise for Fiafia, each group had to go on the stage and the other groups had to watch them in the sun. I was so nervous when our group was going up because everyone was watching us .

I wasn't comfortable up the stage  because I had butterflies in my stomach and that means you're like about to spew and you're shy.But the worst thing was that it was some hot everywhere because the sun was up.

When we were dancing for long I as feeling confidence because people were calling out our names and cheering for us. I felt very good because it was getting fun dancing and then the we did the dance altogether.

To achieve this goal I need to ask some of my friends or my teacher for help when I’m stuck on my reading. In writing  my goal is to write interesting stories so people don’t think that my writing is boring. To achieve this goal I need to spell the word properly when I’m writing so people don’t get stuck in a my words. In Maths my goal is to learn the new strategies that my teacher taught me to do. The learning area I think I need to improve in most is my Writing because sometimes I don’t really know what to write when we’re doing writing. In my learning my goal this term is to  show ‘Caring’ , kindness to my friends and show my respect to the teacher when they are talking or doing something. My goal for this year around the classroom is to (behaviour/self management)My goal for this year around the school is to go around the outside use my WITS and do the rules in the school. My parents goal for me this Term is to look after me and make sure that we get food every day.
